Members of the Alliance were honored to gather at the Patterson-CaƱa residence to celebrate the holidays, the spirit of giving and her incredible achievement in earning a Doctor of Education degree from University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education.

Dr. Patterson’s groundbreaking dissertation, ā€œUnderrepresentation of Women of Color in Railroad Engineering,ā€ reflects her lifelong commitment to equity and representation, values that resonate deeply with the Alliance’s mission. This remarkable achievement reflects years of dedication, research and scholarly excellence, honoring the pioneering women who came before her while paving the way for future generations. Dr. Patterson's work advances critical conversations about equity and representation in engineering, creating meaningful change for women.

In true holiday spirit, the Alliance assembled care packages for her church community, spreading warmth and kindness to those facing housing insecurity. Congratulations, Dr. Patterson. Your leadership and kindness inspire all of us.
