Student Connection Event
UC Irvine students are undoubtedly prepared to tackle the most pressing health challenges in our community. However, the Alliance saw an opportunity to prepare our students with the soft skills needed to complement their line of work. On November 14, a range of health students attended the student connection event.
They delved into the topic of financial planning, learning how to nurture their economic futures. They explored the delicate balance of community engagement, discovering how to keep their roots firmly planted in society while reaching for the stars in their careers. Work-life integration, negotiation tools and emotional intelligence were additional topics carefully practiced.
These connections are important not only because students get to practice their soft skills, but students get to share resources with each other. This year’s student attendance was the most diverse yet. Students represented Prime-LC, SACNAS, Flying
Samaritans, UC3P, and SAGE Scholars program to name a few. The Alliance is committed to continue filling the gap for our students.
As we move forward, the Alliance remains steadfast in its commitment to bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, ensuring our students are not just well-educated, but truly well-prepared for the multifaceted challenges of the health care field.
