Student Connection – Building Community Across Cohorts

Setting a strong foundation for community is central to our mission. The UCI-OC Alliance is committed to fostering a vibrant and inter-connected community that brings together students, alumni and business professionals. Besides our #AnteaterCenas which are small intimate dinners with 2-4 guest per cena and hosted by individual members, the Alliance hosts larger gatherings/meet ups. 

This spring, the UCI-OC Alliance hosted its Scholar Celebration Dinner welcoming the 2024-25 academic year scholarship recipients, alumni, and professionals for a casual meet up at Sgt. Pepperoni's Pizza. The evening was filled with icebreaker activities, great conversations, resource sharing, and a sense of belonging and community. 

These gatherings are more than just social events, they are opportunities to strengthen bonds, share ideas, and foster collaboration. The intent is to prepare students with the social skills and a networking foundation for immediate entry into the workforce and foster a lifelong connection to the UC Irvine community, creating a powerful network of support and collaboration that extends well beyond graduation.
